With his mothers' blessing, Aster makes the familiar trek to Limsa Lominsa for a not-so-familiar purpose: becoming a formal member of the Arcanists' Guild. Fresh-faced, starry-eyed, bushy-tailed—he eagerly undertakes studying arcanima, and it isn't long before he's told mastery of arcanima requires practice. He quickly finds the largest difference between city and farm life is the pace of change: to further his studies in a practical manner, the humble farmer turned excitable student offers his services to—or, perhaps more accurately, pleads for tablescraps from—the Drowning Wench's proprietor, Baderon.

In this manner, Aster Adrastea formally becomes an adventurer.
